December 15 | The Electoral College casts its ballots in Virginia and nationwide. |
December 15: Noon | Virginia's Electors meet in Richmond at the State Capitol to cast their votes. This year the proceedings will be held in the House Chamber and will be simulcast throught the Capitol. A press release from the State Board of Elections provides more information. |
December 15: 1:30-3:30 p.m. | A reception held by the Alexandria Democratic Committee in the Rotunda of the Jefferson Hotel, 101 West Franklin St., in Richmond. Featuring elegant hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. $50.00 per person to attend, $100.00 per person to be a sponsor, and $250.00 per person to be a patron. Students age 18 and under may attend for $25.00 and children age 6 and under are free. Reserve through ActBlue or by downloading a reception invitation. |
